When visitors of Bahrain visit this lovely country they will find they can choose to stay in a number of different cities. Of these choices you will find the capital city of Manama to be an ideal choice. This city besides being one of the largest cities in the country of Bahrain is also a modern city where visitors can enjoy the traditional hospitality of the country alongside seeing both the modern and past sights of this fabulous country and city.

You will find there are a number of activities that you can do while you are here. These activities will range sightseeing, relaxing in cafes and restaurants, having fun at clubs and bars and enjoying nature at its best. As there is a wealth of activities that you can do while you are visiting Manama, you may find it more fun to mix your sightseeing with that of having fun or exploring nature. First off take a visit to some of the fabulous sights of nature that you will encounter here in Manama. One such place that you might wish to visit is that of the Hawar Islands. On these islands which are situated in the Gulf of Bahrain you will find a safe haven for a number of marvelous bird species. Some of the birds that you will be able to see on these islands are flamingos, sooty falcons, bulbuls and ospreys. Another great place of nature that you should visit while you are in Manama is also in the nearby Gulf of Bahrain.

In this trip you will be able to watch graceful dolphins frolicking with joyful abandon as you watch them from boats which have been designated for this use. Other marine creatures you will be able to see will include the lovable manatees as they glide along the bottom of the gulf foraging for food and a type of Grouper known as Hammour which is greatly prized as a delicacy. If you are interested in seeing these wonderful inhabitants of the Gulf of Bahrain you will be able to find that the dolphin watching boats leave from Manama three times a day.

From the beauties of nature to the glories of man you will find Manama to be a magnificent place. One such monument to man made glories is that of the Pearl Monument. This monument is the unofficial symbol of Bahrain. It is located in the middle of a roundabout. As you look at this monument you will see there are six highly stylized dhow sails which are holding a magnificent pearl high above the city.

In addition to looking at this Pearl Monument you will find there are a number of interesting places that you can visit. Some of these places are the Al-Fateh Mosque, the Barbar Temple and the Tree of Life. These are just a few places where you can see the beauties of Manama and Bahrain when you come for a visit.
